Thinking back, I've had a couple good experiences doing this, but really nothing long-term. My personal experience with alts and alternate accounts is that I always just end up going back to my main. But at the same time I know that when I've entered into a game that has been on the market for awhile and the newbie areas are empty I've wanted to just skip it all. Or if a game revolves around level based PvP, but those are few and far between times. The only reason I would buy an account is if I had cash to spend and needed to catch up for whatever reason.
